Design Mission
With the mission to bring colour and life to any space, SHARYN KAYNE® is able to creatively deliver design solutions through her artworks, textile/surface designs and the Interior/Exterior Design schemes of her client’s residential and commercial properties.
For over 20 years as a professional Interior Designer (RMIT qualified), Sharyn has combined her knowledge of Art History, Architecture and Design with inspiration from the colours and organic shapes of the Australian ‘backyard’ she has spent her life exploring - the big sky expanses, vibrant mountains and landscapes, coastal vistas, flora and fauna.
Sharyn Kayne’s unique combination of imagery and colour creates the signature stylish Interior Design selections, artworks, textile and surface designs utilised by clients and fashion/ homeware companies.

A passion for design, colour and textiles developed from growing up in a family immersed in fashion and home textiles, led Sharyn Kayne® to establish her Interior Design consultancy in 1992. “Founding an Interior Design consultancy in a regional Australia city in the early 90’s was quite a challenge. The first few years were about promoting the benefits of utilising an Interior Designer to save money and time when renovating or building.” Sharyn reflected.
In 2001, Sharyn moved to Melbourne to formalise Interior Design qualifications within the renowned RMIT design faculty. Formal studies completed, over the ensuing years, Sharyn explored different elements of the design industry, in particular, the furniture industry. Multiple sales, management and design roles in Middle Range and Top End furniture companies have developed specialist ‘insider’ knowledge that Sharyn is able to access to help clients save money and procure quality, unique fit-for-purpose furniture.
Recent years have seen Sharyn Kayne® develop into a multi-disciplined designer. A passion for art, photography, textile and fashion design led to creating thousands of artistic designs that were applied to fashion and homeware products.

The SHARYN KAYNE® design journey has come full circle back to Interior Design Service offerings. Utilising all the experience and skills available to a multi-disciplined designer, Sharyn Kayne is able to offer a wide range of Interior Design services with a skill for commissioned or customised textile and surface designs for homewares, furniture, curtains, rugs, carpets, wallpaper, feature wall panels, hard surfaces, etc to create a unique offering for any residential or commercial design solution.
